After such a busy week, Y6 enjoyed a special BBQ treat! A special thanks to Mr Lamb for cooking for us all.

Y6 Leaving Assembly

Our fantastic Y6s had their last assembly today! Children sang, played the piano and shared their memories of their time at Lower Meadow. It was a really special occasion, with special awards, a few tears and a lot of laughs. What a fantastic Year 6 you have all been!

Some of the contributions to our assembly:

08.07.24 and 09.07.24

Our Y6 Production!

Our fantastic Y6s performed the pantomime, “Aladdin Trouble” for the school on Monday with a full dress rehearsal and lots of enthusiasm. On Tuesday, they performed this for parents and carers and the feedback from everyone was simply fantastic. Every member of the team has helped with rehearsals, created props and scenery and even used their sewing skills to create some bloomers! Well done Y6!

Sensory Garden Update!

Y6 have been continuing their efforts to improve the Sensory Garden – we’re making great progress!

Y5’s Music Performance

As part of their learning this term, Y5 performed in assembly. The children did really well, showcasing their efforts working alongside Emma from the Music Hub!

Planting in the outdoor classroom

Y6 have enjoyed making a positive contribution to school by planting and developing this outdoor space. We’ve learned a lot and really enjoyed working as part of a team!

Our Summer Fayre was a huge success!

Thank you to everyone who supported us with this lovely event!

We’ve won GOLD!

Our fantastic school council helped to develop our new Pupil Anti-Bullying Policy and have supported children across school in understanding what this is and why it is important. In recognition of our hard work, we have been awarded the GOLD award!

KS2 Sports day!

We had a fantastic visit to Graves Tennis Centre for our sports morning.

We worked hard all morning and had lots of fun.  The winning team this year was…

our PURPLE team!

A fantastic selection of competition entries! Well done to all of the children – and parents and carers – who took part!

Y5 and Y6 children participated in a special assembly led by South Yorkshire Police and talking about online safety! Thank you very much to the police officers for giving up their time and answering our questions.

Say thank you to someone at Companies House - GOV.UK

Thank you to all of our parents who attended the Eat Smart Coffee Morning today – it was a really great session!

Harvest Festival!

Thank you to Meadowhead Christian Fellowship for a lovely whole-school assembly about Harvest. Thanks also to Miss Lilly for this great harvest display!

Y6 Residential to Kingswood!

We had a fantastic time at Kingswood! The children had a brilliant time, worked really well together and really challenged themselves to try new activities and be brave. It was great to get such positive feedback from staff at the centre, as well as teachers from other schools, about how well-behaved and polite our children are. Here are a few photos from our visit – we will share more of these with you at our forthcoming parent event.

Our Delayed Summer Fair!

It was lovely to see so many parents, carers, children and staff at our fair tonight. Luckily, the weather was on our side and we could enjoy games, activities, cake and lots of fun. Our new school mascot, which was developed by our School Council, even made an appearance! Wearing a t-shirt featuring the winning design, our mascot danced and posed for photographs, including one with our local MP, Louise Haigh, who had stopped by for a visit!
